f-class information

F-CLASS STYLE MATCH RULES

The F-Class match is a long range high power rifle match that is a sub-discipline of NRA Fullbore Rifle competition. It is based on the use of very accurate bolt-action rifles, and can be shot at various ranges from 300 yards to 1,000 yards at paper targets. You can review the NRA rules for this match including the rifles, equipment, and ammunition here: http://www.nrahq.org/compete/rules/fullbore_07.pdf

While we do not have the facilities to comply with all of the range requirements to conduct a full-blown NRA sanctioned F-Class match, we find the context of the match very interesting and think that we can adapt a match to our range.

Rifles and other equipment: We will have two classes: F-Class Open Rifle (F-O), and F-Class Target Rifle (F-T/R). Rifles and their associated equipment will be required to comply with the NRA F-Class Rifle rules (see pages 42-44 of the NRA Fullbore Rules).

Ammunition: Ammunition must comply with the NRA F-Class rules.

NEW! IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ BEFORE SHOOTING AT GSR

It is extremely expensive and takes a lot of work to repair targets which have had holes punched into them due to careless shooting, and due to recent damage to the targets at Golden Spike Range, the linked PDF file should be downloaded and read before shooting in any of our matches. This document will tell you which calibers and bullets may be used on which targets. If, after reading this document, you are still unsure about which targets are available for shooting, PLEASE ASK a range manager before firing.
